Retail & Restaurant Foot Traffic Analysis
In this data analysis, we provide retail and restaurant foot traffic analysis for two separate studies: the 2017 holiday shopping season and the impact of advertising on restaurant foot traffic. For 2017 holiday shopping, we provided an analysis of retail store visits from Black Friday through the holiday shopping season, highlighting overall trends as well as the most visited locations.
We then dive deep into three specific advertising campaigns in 2017 that resulted, or flopped, at driving a meaningful spike in restaurant visits. We’ll share the impact of Wendy’s viral #NuggsForCarter campaign, McDonald’s one day re-launch of szechuan sauce, and Chick-fil-A’s push to drive mobile app ordering by offering free breakfast.
