Reveal Mobile Joins IAB Europe’s Transparency Consent Framework Vendor Registry for GDPR

One of the most challenge technical tasks of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance to accomplish is how publishers will manage gaining consent from their end users to process, analyze, store, and share their data with relevant partners. When implemented correctly, gaining consent means that end users will be presented not only with all of the use cases for the data, but the companies that will receive that data, and the ability to say “yes” or “no” to each use case and company.
If you’re publisher using many different solutions for analytics, reporting, advertising, keeping your presentation of the consent options up-to-date would be time consuming and difficult to keep current.
Fortunately the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) in Europe built a technical solution that publishers can implement to greatly simplify this process. Companies like Reveal Mobile provide the information such as use cases and legal grounds for processing data. Publishers then integrate the IAB’s technical solution, enabling them to select their current partners, and have the consent (or revocation of consent) flow through the ecosystem in a seamless fashion.
As a part of our ongoing efforts to support the GDPR, Reveal Mobile joins the IAB Europe’s Transparency Consent Framework global registry for vendors. This helps complement our efforts in working with ePrivacy to undergo a complete privacy and security audit in advance of GDPR’s May 25th, 2018 start date.
